Abstract：Crop straw is the largest renewable resource on earth, but its application as feed resource
is limited due to its high lignocellulose content. With continuous technological development, nutri?
ents in straw can now be effectively utilized through post processing, although there are still very few methods available for industrial production of straw feed. This paper discussed the distribution, nutrition structure, feed processing technology and current application status of crop straw in animal production in China. Furthermore, we listed the limiting factors associated with feed scale application of crop straw, and presented the corresponding countermeasures.
