Abstract:Colletotrichum is the eighth most common plant pathogen in the world, and can cause a variety of plant diseases of monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous plants worldwide. After being infected by fungi of Colletotrichum, Panax plants suffer from yield damage and quality decline, directly or indirectly leading to serious economic losses. This paper reviews the taxonomic development of Colletotrichum on the Panax plants, pathogenic mechanism, and existing problems of the anthracnose pathogen on Panax plants, and discusses future research directions of anthracnose pathogen in Panax plants, in order to provide theoretical support for the systematic study of pathogenic mechanism of anthracnose fungi and the prevention and control of diseases on Panax plants.
