Abstract:Plant hormones play an important role in the regulation of plant growing development, en?
vironmental adaptation and secondary metabolism. Especially, the scientific and rational utilization
in medicinal plants has a good effect on promoting the formation of their effective components. Panax
ginseng is known as the "king of herbs" and has important medicinal value. The formation of its func?
tional component ginsenoside is affected by various environmental factors. Plant hormones are regula?
tors of plant adaptation to environmental conditions and play a key role in regulating ginsenoside bio?
synthesis. Based on the application of plant hormones in Panax ginseng, this paper summarized and
analyzed the role and regulatory mechanism of jasmonic acid, salicylic acid, auxin, abscisic acid andgibberellin in ginsenoside biosynthesis. It pointed out that plant hormone act as signaling molecules
to mediate key enzyme activities or gene differential expression in ginsenoside biosynthesis pathway,
thus affecting the synthesis of ginsenosides. The diagrams of jasmonic acid, salicylic acid, auxin, ab?
scisic acid and gibberellin regulating the accumulation of ginsenosides were preliminarily drawn, and
future research direction of the application of plant hormones in medicinal plants was predicted. The
purpose of this paper is to provide reference for promoting the “high-yield and high-quality” cultiva?
tion of traditional Chinese medicine in production practice.
